HUMAN RABIES TITER

The Rabies Titer test is used to evaluate a person’s immunity to Rabies.  This test screens for antibodies capable of neutralizing the Rabies virus.  This test is typically ordered by people who work with animals and have an occupational risk of exposure to Rabies.  This test may also be used to evaluate the effectiveness of post exposure treatment for Rabies. The Rabies Titer test is run at the Kansas State University Rabies Laboratory, one of only two commercial laboratories recognized by the Center for Disease Control for performing the test.  As a result, turnaround time for this test can be up to 4 weeks.

Patients often receive orders for speciality and  genetic testing to include oncology, women’s health, autologous eye drops, and more.  Commonly these tests are in  kits that are shipped to the patient and require a blood draw to complete.

Paternity testing determines whether a man (alleged father) is the biological father of child. Establishing paternity  can be used for various reasons to  include:  child support, child custody, immigration, adoption, and more.


Vital Healthcare provides court ordered paternity testing which can be completed at your local court house, social services, adoption centers, and jails.

Vital Healthcare administers TB (tuberculosis) skin test is also called the mantoux tuberculin skin test (TST). A TB skin test requires two visits. During the first visit the test is placed; on the second visit the health care provider reads the test and documents the result.


In addition, Influenza vaccines also called “Flu Shots” are provided seasonally. These services can completed onsite; ideal for employers and colleges.
